Snow Bengal is well known and appreciated by the public and widely practiced in many catteries, a lots of  bengal carry the gene snow especially Lynx gene
The snow bengal has a charm reminiscent snow leopard, which especially fascinating is their eye color, for the Lynx a marked azure blue, mink has ocean view, aqua, sepia and finally to which it is less known and darkest of snow, it has green  to golden eyes on a clear texture (pulling a brown to very light shades)

 

 

His story:

 

Again, this mutation does not come directly from the ALC (asian leopard cat - asian leopard) their first progenitor, but other breed who help develop the bengal and colors, of which the snow, it are 3 types of snow the Seal Lynx, Seal Mink and the Seal Sepia.
The gene comes to us from the Siamese for the Lynx (hence their intense blue color, every time some lynx bengal can inherit the hereditary defect of Simois, strabismus, it remains néanmoin rare) The Lynx also held the Siamese red color of eyes when pictures with Flash

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The color mink it is not a gene itself, it is the combination of the lynx and mink sepia that gives color to the snow kitten.

Sepia gene comes Burmese us this particular gene lightens the color of a light brown body and delicate shades of warm shades, so that people might confuse it with a brown as an adult..

 

Gene Snow:

So there are two genetically snow genes (lynx Seal & Seal Sepia) which are recessive, so you have two carrier of the gene to produce kittens snow or snow with a carrier brown. Two Snow together will give all litter of snow. The mink is the mixture of the two so you have a sepia carrier (directly or sepia) and a carrier lynx (lynx or directly) then we get the mink like it gets gray when you mix the color black and white

The color of snow is changing day by day, especially for lynx, they will get their final color at the age of 2 years. Some colors are more contrasted than others because of their genetic code and they are carrying a gene charcoal for example, give even darker.

 

 

Conclusions :

The snow is a fascinating gene to study, you have to know the genetics of our breeding to confirm which snow colors will be expected in the future litters, we can know through DNA tests. If a brown x Snow in litter you have no snow is that your brown not carring for snow  despite the number of snow in his pedigree, this does not mean anything! Mink's a color, not a gene, a brown can't carring for Mink.

 

 

Remarks :

 

Some may lynx born very contrasted the safest way to find out its exact color is to test, but also to take a photo with flash, if it has red eyes, is that it is undoubtedly lynx! And for contrast mink, then obviously the only way to know the color is extacte dna test.
As in brown color, silver and blue dilute genes and gene charcoal may appear in the dress, except that the brown color is completely diluted (for example it does not say brown silver, but silver) while for the snow not,  then its second color will be like a 'cloak' then we say Silver Seal Mink an example here:
